Head Attorney Gorge M. Rubio

Attorney Gorge M. Rubio received his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1995. Attorney Rubio then received his Juris Doctorate from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law in 2000. Mr. Rubio was admitted to the Texas Bar in 2001, after successfully passing the Bar exam on his first attempt. 

While at Texas Wesleyan School of Law, Attorney Rubio was an associate editor of the Texas Wesleyan Law Review. In 2005, Gorge M. Rubio became a Board Certified Personal Injury Trial Lawyer by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization after taking the mandatory number of cases to trial and passing the Texas Board of Legal Specialization test for Personal Injury Trial law. In 2011, Mr. Rubio was admitted to the Texas Board College. 

After graduating law school, Attorney Rubio worked 15 years for Loncar and Associates, P.C. as a Branch Supervising Attorney. While employed, Mr. Rubio handled pre­-litigation and litigation personal injury files and was able to negotiate hundred of personal injury claims to conclusion, recovering millions of dollars for his client. Mr. Rubio is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Hidalgo County Bar Association, Cameron County Bar Association, Board Certified Personal Injury Trial Law Texas Board of Legal Specialization and a member of the Texas Board College.

Attorney Vanessa R. Rubio graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2017, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics - specialized in Actuarial Science. Ms. Rubio then went on to received a Doctorate of Jurisprudence from Texas Tech University School of Law in 2020. During the Coronavirus pandemic, Ms. Rubio successfully passed the New Mexico Uniform Bar Exam on her first attempt. Ms. Rubio scored high enough on the New Mexico Bar Exam to gain licensing to practice law in Texas. Attorney Vanessa R. Rubio was admitted to the Texas State Bar on November 11, 2020. Ms. Rubio will be eligible to practice law in New Mexico in February 2021.

During her senior year at the University of Texas, Attorney Rubio interned at the Texas State Capitol with Representative Bobby Guerra of the 34th District of Texas. Ms. Rubio performed research on Pension plans for firefighters and policeman, as well as Child Protective Services. During her internship, Ms. Rubio aimed to help children within the foster care system, working closely with Representative Guerra to enact a Bill to help high school students of the foster care system receive aid for college preparation. Ms. Rubio continued her internship with Representative Guerra through the Texas 85th Legislative Session.

While at Texas Tech University School of Law, Ms. Rubio was a student attorney for the 2019-2020 Family Law and Housing Clinic. Attorney Vanessa R. Rubio worked under a supervised attorney while handling multiple pro-bono family law cases, including divorces and an adoption case. Ms. Rubio also worked with local counsel and justices on pro-se divorce cases. Ms. Rubio continues her legal career here at Rubio & Associates.
